founder of Ward Financial Group, Barry Ward
has over two decades of experience advising

regularly works with Accounting practices
and their SMSF clients developing strategic
tax and retirement planning outcomes. Barry
is a specialist SMSF Advisor (SPA) with the

Superannuation Fund Professionals
Association of Australia” (SPAA). Barry has
presented on technical issues to many
Accounting and Financial Planning
organizations. His enthusiasm, insight and

Cameron
O'Sullivan - Partner
Following 3 successful years in financial
and information risk management with
Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Cameron joined the
practice in early 2003 as a Financial
Adviser with a focus on financial strategy
and risk management for Ward Financial Group
affiliates and clients. Cameron is highly
skilled in risk profiling, auditing and
management (financial and information), and
is also in charge of all of our technical
systems. His skill-set compliments Ward
Financial Group's measured approach to
developing tailored investment and
superannuation strategies. He has been
recognised nationally as a leading
practitioner in providing valued advice to
clients on technical strategy , winning
Value of Advice awards and was the recipient of the
inaugural Rising Star Award by Charter
Financial Planning. After four years with the company,
Cameron acquired a major equity position in
the Group in 2007, solidifying his future as
an integral part of the business for many
years to come.

David
Blackborrow - Partner
Following several years in Revenue
Management and Marketing with Starwood
Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, David joined the
firm in 2003 and has become one of the
primary Financial Adviser's of the practice.
He is an expert with income analysis,
cash-flow projections and has also completed
specialist accreditation in SMSFs. Further,
he is highly skilled in the areas of
Marketing and the implementation of Customer
Relationship (CRM) programs. It is in this
capacity that David helps the Ward Financial
Group ensure it's focus on customer service
is maintained at the highest level. David
became an equity partner of the practice in
2008.

Rachel
Woodlock - Partner
Joining the firm in 2004 providing
administration assistance, Rachel quickly
developed to become the Office Manager,
ensuring all activities of the practice ran
efficiently and to the satisfaction of our
clients. Whilst still maintaining a strong
link in the supervision of the office,
Rachel has developed through the role of Paraplanner and near completion of her
Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning to
this year being appointed to a financial
planning role. Rachel became a partner in
the practice in 2008.

Mary Vlamos
- Partner
Joining the practice in 2004, Mary has many years
of experience in the Financial Services industry
and specialised in Pension assessment with
Centrelink for 10 years prior to that. Mary
is responsible for the administration of our
investment portfolios and in assisting
clients with accessing their portfolios via
our web-site. Her exceptional customer
service skills also enables her to assist
our clients with any query they may have
regarding the status of their portfolios,
investments, or obtaining one of the many
Financial Reports available to our clients
online.
Mary became a partner in the practice in
2008. |

David Seidel – CFP Financial Adviser
David joined the financial services industry
in 2002 after 14 years of service in a
number of roles with Fuji Xerox. Prior to
joining Ward Financial Group, David worked
for a number of years as a Financial Adviser
with the Commonwealth Bank and MLC. David
has now bought his skills to Ward Financial
Group, since 2012, where he continues to
specialise in Wealth Accumulation,
Retirement & Centrelink maximisation, Aged
Care, Tax containment and Personal Risk
Insurance.

Jeff Smith - Insurance Specialist
Joining the firm in 2007, Jeff brings with
him over 15 years of experience in the field
of risk and insurance. Previously, Jeff
worked for the ANZ Private Bank before
joining Ward Financial Group, where he
continues to provide expertise in the field
of Life insurance, TPD, Income Protection,
Trauma and Buy/Sell Agreements for small
businesses, SMSF trustees and High Net Worth
Individuals.

Maureen Hawkins - Mortgages and Financing
Maureen offers Financing through WFG
Mortgages Pty Ltd
Maureen has over 30 years experience in the
Mortgaging and Finance Industry, and worked
for many years in ANZ's Corporate, Business
and Consumer Lending divisions. Maureen has
accreditations with over 35 different
Mortgage Providers and excels at assisting
our clients in tailoring the best Financing
solution for their situation. Maureen is
also an authorised representative of
Charter Financial Planning but her services offered as
part of WFG Mortgages are outside her
Charter Financial Planning representation.

Sarah
Monger - Portfolio Administrator
Sarah joined the Ward Financial Group Team
in 2008. Sarah performs a range of
administrative tasks, including processing
investments and maintenance of Client
Portfolios. Sarah’s previous professional
experience has equipped her with excellent
administrative skills and she thrives in her
role as a Portfolio Administrator. Sarah has
recently commenced her Diploma in Financial
Services. |

Merrilyn Smith - Portfolio Administrator
In 2008 Merrilyn joined the Ward Financial
Group Team on a part time basis. Merrilyn’s
previous accounts and administrative
experience has equipped her with excellent
skills which compliment her role as a
Portfolio Administrator. Merrilyn performs a
range of administrative tasks, all of which
maintain our client portfolios online, and
her friendly approach keeps us all smiling.
In 2012 Merrilyn commenced full time with
Ward Financial Group. |

Kellie McLaughlin - Reception / Office
Administrator
Kellie commenced in 2012 and is the first
point of contact in all aspects of the
business. Kellie ensures the operational and
administrative needs of the entire business
are met, whilst also liaising directly with
clients and addressing their needs. Kellie’s
financial planning industry experience has
enabled her to have a smooth transition into
this role. |
